Member laboratories can be represented on the association’s council or as ordinary members who participate in the activities of the association. Membership is limited to practicing laboratories, including those only operating seasonally, which participate in at least one of the inter-laboratory proficiency testing schemes recognised by the association.
Membership of a laboratory may be terminated at the council’s discretion, on the grounds for such termination being given.
Reasons for termination include the following:
- Failure to pay membership fees within the prescribed period
- Misuse of the Association’s name or logo
- Unethical behavior, which may harm the name and aims of the association as prescribed in the constitution
agrilasa fee structure: 2025/2026
The following fee structures apply:
A once-off joining fee for a new member, an annual fee per discipline to AgriLASA, as well as participation fees for each proficiency test scheme (PT-Scheme). Courier costs for delivery of samples will be charged additionally. A sample preparation fee will be levied to assist with the procurement of suitable PT-Scheme samples.
Courier services to areas outside of the RSA are for the laboratories’ own account. AgriLASA is not registered for VAT.
